INFORMATION :
Genre : WarioWare Game
Platform : PC
Duration : 3 months
Team : 45 people.
Mission : Make a WarioWare-like game in
a massive team of 45 game designers using Unity.
Position : Lead Sound Designer
CONTRIBUTION :
- Composition of the original soundtrack.
- Production and Implementation of sound effects.
- Dubbing the pirate professor.
THE GAME :
Lead a crew of pirate students who sail from island to island, trying to survive the mini-games and reach the boss in order to get their piracy degree.

To travel between islands, you need to succeed in a chain of several mini-games. The difficulty of these mini-games will increase every time you win. If you lose those mini games, your ship will be damaged. In order to become more powerful by strengthening your ship, you can face mini bosses to retrieve artifacts. The final goal is to defeat Black Passe-Câle, an old pirate student.
MY WORK :
This project was my first time working in such a big team, especially given there were only game designers. Before it started, a recruitment phase was organized by the project organizers to define the posts of each on the project, one of the aims being to propose a work structure similar to a small studio.
Due to my skills in music theory and musical compositions, as well as my attraction for management. I was assigned to lead sound designer.
My first mission was to define the feasibility from the point of view of sound design production, of various proposed concepts, based on knowledge, available resources and production time.
Once the feasibility was established, I carried out researches and experiments around the musical genre of piracy, its sounds and rhythms in order to give the project a real musical direction.
The difficulty of warioware being largely based on rhythm, it took a lot of balancing to get a challenging and pleasant flow.
Whether it was with the macro team or micro teams performing mini-games, communication was extremely important. Each mini-game concept has to be interpreted by our team in order to produce a custom soundtrack adaptable to different Bpm (Beats per minute).
I realized the trailer of the game with the intention of showing all the aspects specific to our game : fun, fast, joyful, lots of mini-games, the catchy universe of piracy. The idea was also to make our inspiration recognizable : Warioware.
